Note:if you haven't received the
summer upgrade yet,the instructions on this page
won't work.Sorry, the only thing webtv can c/c/p is
text(no graphics)
The Three Cmd's
- cmd-a..highlights the entire page or if
you are in the "togo" box it will highlight the
entire "url"(I'll talk on this later)
- cmd-c..copies what ever you have
highlighted
- cmd-v..Pastes the previously copyied or
cut text any where you are able to
type.(email,webpage editor,chat)
Tricks I've learned:
When there is only part of a page you want to
cut and paste, this is where you use the "find" button on you
keyboard
- hit the find button..type in the first word you
want to cut..click on "find on page"
- if there is the same word before that word on the
page that will highlight first..to get the word you
need you will push cmd-g and at the same time the
down arrow key. This will scroll the highlighted down to the
next "find" word on the page. You can keep doing this
till you highlight the word you want
- To highlight everything you want to type you use
the "shift"key and the "arrow"keys.
- Once you have everything you need
highlighted..you then..cmd-c..this will cut all that
is highlighted.
When you need to get a address of a background, gif or
a midi, this how to cut them:
- click on the bground, gif, or midi you want the
address for.
- push the "go to" button on the keyboard
- click on "Show Last" the address will show in the
cusor box
- cmd-a..will highlight the address
- cmd-c..will cut the address so you can paste it
in your code in your e-mail signature or web page.

Hope this makes your life easier ;-)
